Pit Scores

Sunday night we finally had our Christmas Dinner. Little bit late but that never hurt anybody.

Christmas Dinner goes hand in hand with the Titcombe Annual Christmas Pit Extravaganza. And so, I will give you the winners, the losers and the boring ol' fart who didn't even score.

Tie for first place: Sam & Me with 175 points each
Tie for last place: Jasmine & Marc with 50 points each
Boring old fart who never scored: Eric

Marc still leads the high score record with 410 points (2004) and the lowest score record with -120 points (2001).

I'm glad to hear the Pit game was still played even if a little late. Sorry we missed it.

Have to admit I'm glad Nick wasn't there ... because there wouldn't have been enough cauliflower with cheese sauce to go around. As it was, I had to fight Sam off!

I made a turkey over Christmas without making cauliflower with cheese sauce. I'm a little surprised we're still married.

And I quote ... "Pit, the fast-paced card game from Parker Brothers, has been a top performer since its introduction way back in 1904. With all the ups and downs, desperate deals, and nonstop action of an actual trading floor, this lively game offers great fun without risking the family fortune. The rules are simple: Deal the cards, wait for the opening bell, scream and trade like crazy, be the first to corner a specific market (nine cards of the same suit), and ring the closing bell. Sounds pretty realistic, doesn't it? Once you've got the basic game mastered, try throwing Bull and Bear cards into the mix--that's when things get really interesting!"

Who would have thought a simple card game could generate so many comments?
