A few new links

Have been catching up on some reading recently and came across a couple of articles I'd cut from the paper and a magazine. Here are a couple of links to some cool stuff. I'll add them to the side bar too.

Les Effront├ęs offer wardrobe analysis here in Montreal at a surprisingly reasonable price. Very cool.

Pat-Says-Now supply incredibly original mice for your Mac or PC. Trust the Swiss! (link doesn't want to work properly, don't know why, so try a copy/paste into your browser) Dove ad on girl transformation: a real eye opener. Thanks to Super C for this.

I just finished checking out the Dove "Campaign for Real Beauty" site. I could cry. If something like this had been around when I was a teenager, maybe I wouldn't hate myself so much now. I'm going to do my damndest that Kolina grows up confident and liking herself.

That Dove movie is really disturbing. Most people have no idea how little of what we see in advertising is actually "real".

I remember reading an article one time that talked about a cover photo of Michelle Pfeiffer on some women's magazine. The headline on the magazine said "Michelle Pfeiffer is Perfect!". What they didn't tell you is that the picture they used on the cover had thousands of dollars of digital alterations done to it to make her look perfect.

I really love this campaign Dove is doing. I hope it raises a lot more awareness about this sort of thing. Thanks for giving the link.
